Marc Cléjan

General manager

Marc Cléjan has a proven track record of building successful businesses with more than 30 years of team building, management and customer service expertise. 

As the Founder and General Manager of Modern NetZero, he brings his vast experience in business development, management, real estate, contracting, customer service, and technology to direct all aspects of the business. 

Since 2005 Marc served as the Co-Founder, CEO, and Board Member of GreenLogic, a renewable energy solutions provider based in Southampton, NY.  GreenLogic is the leading renewable energy provider on the east end of Long Island, and has alternative energy solutions for over 4,000 residential and business customers to date.  Marc also co-founded Amicus Solar Cooperative and served at its Chairman of the Board during its founding years.  Amicus Solar Cooperative combines the forces of over 70 of the leading solar companies covering all the solar markets in the US, making it the largest solar provider in the United States.     

From 2000 to 2005, Marc was President of Odyssey Capital Corp., a Manhattan-based real estate investment and management firm specializing in corporate temporary housing. 

Prior to 2000, Marc served as Corporate Vice President at Health Management Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: HMSY) for 12 years. There, he led the sales, business and product development teams and helped the company grow from $17 million to $110 million in annual sales, as well as issue a successful IPO. HMSY is now valued at approximately $3.4 billion. 

Marc earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Cornell University, and a Masters Degree in Environmental Management from New York University. 

 He lives in East Hampton, NY, with his wife and faithful companion, Emmi, the terrier.

Anna Cléjan

Interior Designer

Anna Cléjan is the Lead Designer, with more than 20 years of experience working in art and design. 

Anna launched her career at ACA Galleries in New York City. Eventually, with a greater understanding of how the art world works, she sought to develop her own artwork by opening an art studio and exhibiting her work at professional shows. Later, she shifted her focus to design and created an interior design business, Anna Clejan Design, where she was the interior designer for more than 20 NYC apartments, a Manhattan retail store, and 5 homes in the Hamptons. 

At Modern NetZero, Anna oversees the design on every project, from layout and sourcing materials to selecting finishes and fixtures, and finally, to staging. She also considers a home's energy flow, using feng shui and shamanic energy techniques to ensure it has what we refer to as Designed Well-Being™. These finishing touches enhance the beauty and serenity of every home. 

Anna earned her Bachelor of Arts from Marymount College in New York. She lives in East Hampton with her husband Marc and their company mascot Emmi, the terrier. 

Mark Thackrah

Architect & Project Manager

Mark Thackrah is a craftsmen and designer who brings his construction and architectural experience, along with a passion for thoughtful design to every project. He believes that carefully addressing the site, material selections and refined interior programming lend to simple, usable and successfully designed projects. 

At Modern NetZero, Mark oversees every facet of a project, carefully guiding each stage, from architectural design and planning, to project management through project completion. 

Mark earned both his Bachelor of Science in Design: Architecture and his Master of Architecture degree from Arizona State University. He is now licensed to practice Architecture in New York and Arizona. 

He moved to the East End in 2013 and currently resides on Shelter Island with his wife and two children, enjoying all that this landscape has to offer. 

Jon dacey

Project Manager

Jon Dacey is dedicated to the means and methods of building. He takes pride in efficiently managed projects while continuously focusing on the quality of the end product. 

As MNZ’s Project Manager, Jon leads budgeting and scheduling, as well as manages the team of subcontractors. He handles the day-to-day tasks and is a sustained presence on site. 

Jon earned his Bachelor of Science in Building Construction with a minor in Real Estate from Virginia Tech. He then began his construction management career in the DC Metro area where he worked on largescale commercial construction projects. 

Jon and his wife moved to East Hampton in 2018 to be closer to his family who are East End natives. In 2021, they welcomed their daughter.
